Essence Herron, a New Orleans native with a love for life, and Deonte Robinson, a proud Rockford native, first crossed paths in the bustling halls of Tyler Junior College in 2015. It was in the hallways of Bateman where they met, two students focused on their futures, unaware that God had already set a divine plan in motion. From the very first conversation, their connection was undeniable. However, life had its own course to chart, and while they built a strong friendship over the years, it wasn’t until much later that their love story truly began.

For years, Essence and Deonte were simply friends, sharing stories, laughs, and dreams, always there for each other through thick and thin. In 2019, Deonte welcomed his first child, a son named Jayden, into the world. Essence, always supportive, celebrated this milestone with him as a cherished friend.

At the end of 2020, God moved in their lives in unexpected ways. Essence, having lived in Houston, moved back to Dallas. Coincidentally, Deonte had also found his way to Dallas. With God’s perfect timing, their friendship blossomed into something far greater. In early 2021, they began to date, realizing the bond they shared was much deeper than either had ever imagined.

As their relationship flourished, Deonte knew he had found the woman he wanted to spend forever with. In 2022, he got down on one knee and proposed, asking Essence to be his wife. Without hesitation, she said yes, marking the beginning of their beautiful forever. Later that same year, they welcomed their second son, Dreux, into their growing family, sealing their love with the joy of parenthood.

Now, surrounded by their loving family and friends, Essence and Deonte are ready to write the next chapter of their story as husband and wife. Their journey, from college friends to soulmates, is a testament to the power of love, faith, and God’s perfect plan. And as they say their vows, they embark on a lifetime of shared dreams, laughter, and unwavering love.
